Synopsis
After being released from prison after 25 years, New York mob boss Dwight “The General” Manfredi is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sylvester Stallone’s first starring role in a television series.

The opening sequence features various photographic and painted views of the New York landscape, as well as Oklahoma landmarks: The statue of a Sioux Indian chief "Touch the Clouds" wearing a War Bonnet and Bone Choker necklace (breastplate) erected on top of the Brooklyn Bridge Golden Driller statue to the Statue of Liberty, Route 66 Western Gateway Arch to a Major Manhattan “Avenue”. In New York City, the borough of Manhattan, which contains a number of numbered “Avenues”.

which are crisscrossed by smaller numbered streets.. I’ve always liked Stallone, over the years, yes, he’s addicted to sequels, but he’s made some really enjoyable movies that have thrown in some classics.
It’s fun to watch, worth watching
In Tulsa, King may be his best work, just from an acting perspective, he just nails the role of the mafia capo stone cold. The series itself has an interesting story, well written, fully exploiting the humor of a New York mobster in Tulsa Oklahoma without being silly, throws in a healthy dose of violence, good writing and dialogue, and great supporting actors and characters, and they have a winner.
