Synopsis
In the heart of a bustling Times Square kitchen, dreams and despair collide as each employee chases the elusive American Dream. Our Love written by Al Hazan starring The Starr Sisters. I liked the presumption and possibility… but imagine West Side Story performed by your family’s high school students in a kitchen with the intent of making a profound point no one else has made about history before – without the annoying music. You’ll only go if you have to. The direction, writing, and acting are lacking, though much of the cinematography is gorgeous and stunning. Audiences will certainly feel the hustle, bustle, and stress of a busy New York restaurant kitchen. But after an hour and fifteen minutes of La Cocina, the most depressing thing of all is knowing there are still sixty minutes left.
